BMPG Working Group, GNI and US State Department representatives

On the 27th and 28th of March, at the headquarters of the National Military Circle, a working meeting was held between the representatives of the US State Department and the Gender Management Office, for the organization of the activities of the Global Network of National Focal Points, under the co-presidency of the US and Romania.

Today, July 18, the Ministry of National Defense, through the Gender Management Office, a structure directly under the Department for the relationship with the Parliament and the quality of life of the staff, organized at the Palace of the Parliament, the Chamber of Deputies, the Hall of Human Rights, the high-level meeting with the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the adoption of the National Strategy and the National Action Plan “Women, Peace and Security”.


The first working meeting of the National Implementation Group

The Gender Management Office of the Ministry of National Defense organized the first meeting of the National Implementation Group to monitor the implementation of the provisions of the National Strategy and the National Action Plan regarding United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) – “Women, peace and security” for the period 2020-2023, approved by Government Decision no. 561/2020, which highlights the increased representation and significant participation of women in peace negotiations, mediation processes and peacekeeping missions.
Representatives of the following institutions participated in the activity: the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Special Telecommunications Service, the Protection and Guard Service and the National Administration of Penitentiaries.
